NEW HISTORY
Artist's Statement
MEMORY CORRUPTED is an evolving archive of my shifting perceptions over the past eight years. Drawing inspiration from the fluidity of memory, Black surrealist traditions, and everyday textures of life, I embrace a chaotic and instinctive process, working with paint, clay, paper, and digital media to capture moments as fragmented time capsules.
Influenced by artists such as Betye Saar, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and David Hammons, I layer symbolism and found materials to explore identity, social critique, and the fallibility of recollection.
This exhibition is both a deeply personal offering and an open invitation for viewers to locate their own stories within the blur of past and present.
